Senior Support Worker Roles

Supporting people to live independently in their own flats within one building. This includes promoting independence, ensuring safety, and supporting individuals with epilepsy and complex needs.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead shifts and support the Service Manager, including rota management in line with budgets
  • Write, update and implement support plans, risk assessments and reviews using digital care systems
  • Provide personal care, nutritional support, domestic support and ensure smooth running of the home
  • Support individuals with tenancies, finances and administrative needs
  • Assist with moving and handling using appropriate equipment and ensure risk assessments are followed
  • Arrange and support attendance at health appointments and monitor changing needs
  • Support social, leisure, education and work activities, promoting community inclusion and wellbeing
  • Support skills development and use of assistive technology to promote independence
  • Support recruitment, induction, supervision, training, appraisals and performance management of staff
  • Build positive relationships with families, professionals and stakeholders
  • Maintain accurate records, complete incident reports, support safeguarding processes
  • Ensure policies and procedures are followed and documentation completed correctly
  • Support DoLS applications and Mental Capacity Assessments
  • Complete regular audits (medication, H&S, infection control, fire safety)
  • Participate in training, supervision, meetings and on-call duties

Salary

£28,567.50 per annum
